Importing Pets to Macau:
Requirement and Timeline
Preparation Time: Minimum 2 months
Certificate of Origin (CO): Must be signed by the relevant government authority in the exporting country.
Rabies Vaccination: Must be administered at least 30 days but no more than 1 year before the export date.
Rabies-Free Declaration: Required if the pet is coming from a rabies-free country, with no reported rabies cases for the past two years.
Health Certificate:
Must be written in Portuguese, Chinese, or English.
Valid for only 10 days from the date it is signed.
Age Restriction: Pets under 4 months old cannot be imported.
Health Status: Pets must be healthy, with no internal or external diseases or parasites.
Transportation: Pets must be transported in proper cages, labeled, and compliant with IATA rules for animal safety.
Quarantine: If any requirements are not met, your pet may need to stay in quarantine for up to 21 days, or longer if necessary.
