Importing Pets to Korea:
Requirement and Timeline
Preparation Time: 2 months
Vaccination Records: Ensure they are up to date
For cats and dogs
Rabies: Administered/ receive a booster between 30 days+ and 1 year before date of travel.
For dogs: protection against canine parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis, kennel cough (Bordetella bronchiseptica and parainfluenza) to be administered between 14 days+ and 1 year before date of travel.
For cats: protection against feline panleukopenia, herpesvirus, and calicivirus to be administered between 14 days+ and 1 year before date of travel.
Microchip: Your pet must be microchipped (ISO 11784 and 11785 standards).
Import Permit: Secure the required import documentation, applications and Notice of Import Inspection with export documents.
Parasite Treatment: Internal and external parasitic treatments are recommended but not compulsory, unless the pet is going into quarantine.
Health Certificates: Obtain 10 days before date of export.
