This innovation slashes time and distance, allowing you to reach the breathtaking Saxer Lücke viewpoint in just 1.5 hours, sparing you from the initial two-hour hike. While the cable car's convenience is undeniable, there's a slight trade-off: the inability to craft a circular hiking route.
However, make sure to explore the wonders that await. Descend to the serene Falensee, a mere 20-minute hike from Saxer Lücke, and soak in the tranquil beauty before retracing your steps.

We recommend taking the less busy cable car from Frumsen to Staubern; this runs on solar energy and goes approximately every 15 minutes (there are a few parking outside, 5 CHF for dogs); there is an attractive nut-shaped building next to the station so that you won’t miss it. It's less busy than taking the cable car up starting at Hoher Kasten).
Hike along the stunning ridgeline looking over Samtisersee and Fallensee (lakes) and the remarkable rock formations to Saxer Lücke, which looks like a saw-tooth ridge.
